Hello and welcome to HRYB Spring 2023 Blastball

I'm Nick LaMont and I, along with any assistant coaches (hint, hint - let me know if you would be willing to or interested in helping out), will be coaching your players for the HRYB Blastball Spring 2023 season.  I'm excited that we have a great group of players on our team. For those of you who don't know me I am excited to meet you. My wife Amanda and I moved to Herndon in 2016 and about two years later had our little Blastball player Max. I grew up in Springfield and have spent the vast majority of my life in the Northern Virginia area. We look forward to meeting the players and start playing Blastball! 

Schedule:

Our schedule will kick in on Saturday, April 1.  During the season, we will have a 30 minute practice followed by a 30 minute game each Saturday.  The schedules are not finalized yet but will be soon.  Most likely each Saturday we will playing on the baseball fields at Dranesville either from 9-10 or 10:30-11:30

For the each Practice/Game we will need as much parental engagement as possible. Anybody interested in helping out as an assitant coach or child wranger will instantly be accepted.

FIRST Practice/GAME:

Currently our first practice/game is April 1 which is the Saturday before Spring Break (specific time TBD).   

Equipment:

No special equipment is needed for Blastball.

Social Distancing/Masks:

Players/coaches are welcome to wear masks if they choose to. There is no social distancing or mask requirements by the county or league as there was a few seasons ago.

If you all would like to set up a text chain for our team you can reply to this email and send me a number to add to the chain for your family and I will get that set up so we can communicate about absences, weather issues, etc.

Please note that I will be out of town on Saturday, April 15 and will miss that Practice/Game, so we will need at least one volunteer to take the reigns for that day.
