LEAGUE DESCRIPTIONS:  Drafted Leagues (Farm, Minors, M60, M70)

Spring ball is for GIRLS AND BOYS ages 3-12.  No experience is required; coaches will teach you the game at any level.

Gear Requirements for DRAFTED leagues:  baseball glove and baseball pants; cleats are helpful, but not required.  Coaches will have betting helmets and bats, however if you have your own, please bring them.

**We offer the following leagues, however adjustments are made by the total number of registrants and volunteers:

M70 (bases are 70ft, pitchers pitch from 50ft)

• 11-12 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• One practice per week with a weekday and a Saturday game
• The cost is $150 (after Cyber Monday)

M60 (bases are 60ft, pitchers pitch from 46ft)

• 10-11 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• One practice per week with a weekday and a Saturday game
• The cost is $150 (after Cyber Monday)

Minors (second level of "kid pitch")

• 8-11 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• One practice per week with a weekday and a Saturday game
• The cost is $150 (after Cyber Monday)

Farm (first level of kid pitch, coach pitches after 4 balls)

• 8-10 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• One practice per week with a weekday and a Saturday game
• The cost is $150 (after Cyber Monday)

NO OTHER HOUSE LEAGUE IN WESTERN AND NORTHERN FAIRFAX COUNTY OFFERS 50-70 IN HOUSE BASEBALL!

The benefits:

• ALL athletes are exposed to 50/70 prior to aging out of HRYB which allows them a smoother transition to the larger 90 ft field
• Runners are allowed to lead off
• Stealing is permitted
• Pitchers get to work on "pitching from the stretch"--a technique to shorten the pitching motion to give base runners less time to steal a base
• Catchers get to work on throwing runners out at bases
• Fielders are exposed to constant changing circumstances as runners change positions

Non-drafted Leagues: Machine and Coach Pitch, T-Ball, Blast and Buddy Ball

Non-drafted leagues will try to be formed to keep neighborhoods, friends, and carpools together.

Machine Pitch (a machine pitches the ball at a faster speed with more accurate location)

• 6-8 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• One practice per week with a weekday and a Saturday game
• The cost is $125 (after Cyber Monday)

Coach Pitch (coach pitches four balls, then a tee is used)

• 5-6 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• Practice will be held once per week with a game on Saturday
• The cost is $100 (after Cyber Monday)

T-Ball (all players hit from a tee)

• 4-6 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• Practice will be held once per week with a game on Saturday
• The cost is $100 (after Cyber Monday)

Blast Ball (a FUN and QUICK experience for our littlest athletes)

• 3-4 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• 30 minute practice on Saturday followed by a 30 minute game
• The cost is FREE

Buddy Ball (league for children with disabilities)

• 5-15 yr olds as of April 30, 2021
• Sunday game
• The cost is FREE
• The Buddy Ball Commissioner will contact parents after registration to decide if Buddy Ball or one of our other leagues is most appropriate
