Welcome to Bat-a-thon^® 2004

Bat-a-Thon^®, our annual fundraiser and hitting tournament took place on Saturday, May 8. This year was our largest Bat-a-Thon, with 36 teams participating. 

For the first time in Bat-a-Thon history we have two Grand Prize Winners. The winners of the Cal Ripken, Jr. Autographed Bats  (Black Big Stick Bat, Autographed on the Barrel, with Steiner Certificate of Authenticity) are Nathan Vellayan of the Major League, National Mets and Walter Beslove of the Rookie Indians. Nathan and Walter raised 600 sponsor points each!

All organizations and individuals who donate $100 or more will be listed on this page as an official HOYB Bat-a-thon sponsor. Sponsors get a link to their website and phone number listed (if desired). Check out the Bat-a-thon 2003 archived page to view last years sponsors and winners.

Team Prizes for Sponsor Points & Batting

The teams that obtain the highest number of sponsor points from each competing division will go to the Orioles vs. Braves game on Saturday, June 26th at 4:35 p.m.  The teams that score the highest number of batting points within each competing division on Bat-a-Thon Tournament Day will also go to the Orioles vs. Braves game!  Winning teams must have at least nine (9) players present and batting at the Bat-a-Thon Tournament and must obtain at least 300 sponsor points to be eligible (no ties).

Individual Prizes for Batting

Gold, Silver and Bronze (first, second and third place) awards will be presented to the top three players in each competing division who score the highest in batting points on Bat-a-Thon Tournament Day.
