Welcome to Bat-a-thon®
2005
Bat-a-Thon®,
our annual fundraiser and hitting tournament took place on Saturday, May
14.
This year was our largest Bat-a-Thon, with 38 teams participating.
Our Special Grand Prize
Winner... The winner of the 2004 World Series bat autographed by
the Red Sox' David Ortiz is
Nathan Vellayan of the Major American Yankees. Nathan raised
515 sponsor points!
The 1st Place Runner-up for Sponsor Points was Parker Hill,
Majors American Athletics (414 points). The 2nd Place Runner-up for
Sponsor Points was Darren Bolduc, Majors American Yankees
(301 points).
All organizations and individuals who donate $100 or more will be
listed on this page as an official HOYB Bat-a-thon sponsor. Sponsors
get a link to their website and phone number listed (if desired).

Team Prizes for Sponsor Points & Batting
The teams that obtain the highest number of
sponsor points from each competing division will go to the Orioles
vs. Rockies game on June 18, 2005. The teams that score the highest number of
batting points within each competing division on Bat-a-Thon®
Tournament Day will also go to the Orioles vs. Rockies game!
Winning teams must have at least nine (9) players present and
batting at the Bat-a-Thon® Tournament and must obtain at least 300
sponsor points to be eligible (no ties).
