Welcome to Bat-a-thon®
2006
Bat-a-Thon®,
our annual fundraiser and hitting tournament took place on Saturday, May
13.
This year was our largest Bat-a-Thon, with 38 teams participating.
Our Special Grand Prize
Winner... The Grand Prize winner of the autographed picture of
Eddie Murray hitting his 500th homerun is
Parker Hill of the Major American Angels. Parker raised
436 sponsor points!
The 1st Place Runner-up for Sponsor Points was Darren Bolduc,
Majors American Orioles (260 points). The 2nd Place Runner-up for
Sponsor Points was Zach McIntyre, Majors National Padres
(220 points).
This year we instituted a new award called the
Commissioners
Trophy Award. It was awarded to Parker Hill and Nathan
Vellayan for Bat-a-Thon Lifetime Achievement. Both boys have
raised over 1,700 sponsor points during the years that have
participated in our program. That is over $9,000 raised by each
player! Outstanding!!
All organizations and individuals who donate $100 or more will be
listed on this page as an official HOYB Bat-a-thon sponsor. Sponsors
get a link to their website and phone number listed (if desired).
Check out the Bat-a-thon 2005
archived page to view last years sponsors and winners.
